well, this book is a compilation of a lot of sifferent stories, from immigrant's stories to myths and legends, this book is a great deal for those who want to expand their view in Literature and are willing to learn from this wonderful stories, which are highly charged with cultural backgrounds and a huge intellectual view by the authors. This book is more that just nice stories, these book has within its pages the aoyhor's personalities and that is exactly what makes it so great.

I needed this book for an English class. I found it to be over-priced for what was provided. In addition, many of the essays were student writings from the author's university class. I didn't find them helpful (for critical thinking or writing), nor interesting. With all the wonderful authors in the world, why study these essays for an English writing class?

This book is not bad, however, it's overwhelming to read if you have problems with comprehension of certain things.. There is a lot of information covered in it. I wouldn't recommend this book to people that don't enjoy reading essays or that have comprehension problems..

I finished this book in two hours. The stories were mostly fabricated, which is fine but I did expect there to be more tips or advice. The publishing company also needs to find a better editor. There are way too many grammatical errors for this to be a published work.

Don't waste your money. The book is redundant and FULL of words like "mines" and "anyways". Did anyone proof this book at all? I felt like I was reading a teenagers diary, not a published book that someone actually got paid for. Unreal.

"Literary criticism of Stowe's work consistently focuses on her masterpiece, Uncle Tom's Cabin (1852), and on themes immediate to that work—race, slavery, religion, and domesticity. In fact, Stowe wrote much more than just that one novel: she also penned The Pearl of Orr's Island (1862), Lady Byron Vindicated (1870), Pink and White Tyranny (1871), My Wife and I (1871), We and Our Neighbor (1875), Poganuc People (1878), and many more works. Mayer (Univ. of Bayreuth, Germany) and Mueller (Univ. of Stuttgart, Germany) seek to shift the scholarly conversation to these less-known works and provide other lenses through which to read Stowe. They succeed brilliantly. For example, the essays reveal that Stowe's works are relevant for transnational studies, for ecocriticism and environmentalism, for conceptualizing New England regionalism as important to national identity formation, and for forays into rhetorical studies. This volume demonstrates that focusing on Stowe's 'other' writings can open up new directions for Stowe studies. Summing Up: Highly recommended. Upper-division undergraduates through faculty." Looks great!

It's the 3.5 Monster Manual but better. Cover looks fantastic and is of the highest quality. My only issue with the book is that it's so pretty I don't want to take it with me to gaming sessions for fear of it getting ruined.

Premum Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Monster Manual (w/ Errata) Review

The quality of the book is superb, and it does include a lot of the errata that is advertised. As other buyers have pointed out, however, it does not include *all* of the errata that is promised. In addition, I have noticed a few typos that could have been corrected before Wizards of the Coast sent the manuscripts to print. All in all, however, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and I fully intend to purchase another copy or two for my players to paw through while I keep my "DM" set carefully preserved.

The best Monster Manual available.

This is often called "Core Rulebook 3 v.3.5". Within its pages are the closest thing to perfection that the 3.5 rulebooks have ever had. In this Premium edition, all errata has been removed, if possible, and entries have been slightly altered to make rulings clearer.

There are seven major chapters in this volume:
1) Monsters A to Z
2) Animals
3) Vermin
4) Improving Monsters
5) Making Monsters
6) Monster Skills and Feats
7) Glossary

I'm not going to bore you with long descriptions of the chapters. But I will say that the Premium volume, with its semi-metallic cover, really stands out in my bookcases. The art is great, as usual for WotC, and is rarely out of place. The basics of what might be called "the ultimate D&D" are all included. In the back of the book are two pages of Monsters sorted by Challenge Rating. There is a really good Table of Contents, making it vary easy to find the creature you want.

Folks, if you play =any= 3.5 or D20 game, you should have a copy of this book. The Monster Manual contains the stats for all of the basic monsters - from the Aboleth to Zombies. Don't forget that things like cats and dogs are considered 'animals' and not monsters, and things like ants are considered 'vermin'. If you're a GM, you gotta love the monster creating chapters. Highly recommended.
