A daunting task, to say the least, taking on a subject so thoroughly covered over the years.� However, as any researcher, historian, and especially curious readers know... there's always something to be found, discussed or debated when it comes to history.� So, I took this on, hoping to do two things: write a short, sweet, fun and very readable overview of Luciano's role in pop culture and crime history.� Second, I was determined to uncover, or at the very least, find logical and alternative twists to the long debated or largely accepted theories.� Along the way of research and writing, I discovered some fascinating side stories related to Charlie's role in organized crime, which I thought would make wonderfully salaciously good inclusions to the book.� I hope above all else... this book inspires others to dig even further into the life and crimes of Charles "Lucky" Luciano and his many cohorts.
About the Author
Christian Cipollini has been a freelance writer and journalist in the realms of entertainment, human interest and true crime history for over a decade. A graduate of Seton Hill University, he holds a BA in Corporate Communications. He is the author of Diary of a Motor City Hit Man. As a contributor to diverse types of publications, his works have appeared in the Tribune-Review, Asylum.com, Urban Ink Magazine and Mob Candy magazine. A lot has been written about Lucky Luciano, the founder of the modern day Mafia. There have been exhaustive tomes, meticulously researched volumes and speculative tales but until now there has not been a definitive book that sums up his whole life and aura and puts it in an easy to read story. Now, thanks to true crime author Christian Cipollini, there is. Check out his new book on Lucky Luciano, which gives Lucky's life story in a concise and pleasing to read book. Cipollini delves into Lucky's legend and gives the real deal. It’s not overwrought with extensive and boring research and police reports and stories that have been in every other account of Luciano's life. This book cuts through all the BS and tells the man’s story in a simple and straight forward way so that readers can discover the legend of Luciano and his century long appeal to pop culture. It also has an extensive photograph section with rare and hard to find photos that the author has collected over the years. Definitely check this book out. It is a Mafia classic and if you liked Underboss or Wiseguys then this book is for you. Enticing Insight into the Underworld's Most Infamous Leader

Why do very bad men make some of the best fodder for very good books? Christian Cipollini knows, and so will you after reading this book.
Living by the motto, “Harm none, do what ye will”, I have zero interest in violent acts and the men that perpetuate them (Granted, I am a newly minted true crime author, with subject matter involving the Colombian Mafia, but my book focuses on a “non-violent” offender). So imagine my surprise when I found myself fully enthralled by all things mobsters in Cipollini’s easy to read book.
The author provides an informative, important, and very detailed look into underworld history, exploring everything from fact to folklore regarding the life and times of Charlie Lucky Luciano and his infamous cohorts. If you love gangsters, especially the one touted as THE “Top Mobster in America”, you’ll eat this up; and if you’re like me, just a good girl bewildered by bad boys, you may just find yourself mesmerized.
Charlie Lucky- the hoodlum- may have been known as a “shallow parasite”, but his alluring story by Cipollini runs deep in intrigue. Includes gobs of information, well-written, easy to follow. Enjoyed it while learning a lot. How could I have missed all this legendary stuff before? Thanks for the fascinating lowdown, Christian. Now I know. Highly recommended.
