What Barack Obama and the Liberal Media Do NOT Want You To Know About Dating, Women, and Relationships

Why Would the Liberal Media LIE to You About How Women Really Think?

Yes, it sounds crazy: if you are failing with women, the liberal media is to blame.

Over the past 30 years the portrayal of men has changed dramatically. Gone is the rugged, action oriented individual, replaced by the simpering, submissive fool, begging for the strong Mommy-figure to save him. This covert programming has an insidious effect on men, subtly encouraging dependency while denigrating independence. Liberalism is all about dependency, and the more men dependent on government, the better for the liberal media.

The media portrays dependency as attractive to women, but it’s not in the real world. Behave like the men in the media, and you will have lots of safe female friends, but no girlfriends or lovers. Any relationships will be short lived, ended with, “you’re really sweet, but I just don’t feel that way about you.” What’s worse, there’s no place to learn what really works with women. You keep doing what the media encourages, and you get the same results.

It’s extremely frustrating.

My name is John Alanis, and for 8 years I have taught all kinds of men how to find, attract, and keep the woman you really want. Better yet, I show men how to get women to approach you first for a date, no matter your looks, age or income by knowing how women really think about men, not what they “should think” according to the media bias.

Recently, I had enough of the nonsense spewed by the liberal media, and decided to finally release the truth about how women REALLY think in a low cost dating book any man can afford, regardless of political affiliation.

Who needs this? If you are a man who’d like to get a hot girlfriend, date lots of fun women, find that special one, save a dying relationship, or just get women to like you then this dating book is for you.

Here is what is revealed in this shocking expose:

  • Why the mindset of dependency encouraged by the liberal media actually kills attraction

  • Why women and men do NOT think alike, and why believing this liberal lie ruins your chances of attraction

  • What really turns on the female mind, and why this secret is politically incorrect, even terrifying to the liberal media

  • Why behaving in the manner encouraged by the media repels women, turning them off, causing them to disrespect you

  • How to attract the woman you really want using behavior that actually works in the real world, even you are currently a liberal yourself

…and much, much more. And, you also get access to the bonus audio, “How To Attract Women In An Anti-Male Society” While this audio is OFFENSIVE to liberals, it tells you step by step how to break the hold of media bias and do what really works to attract women.

Break the hold of the liberal media right now: don’t let others determine your results with women. Declare your independence from the liberal media, and take action that will attract the women you really desire. Click the orange buy button right now to invest in this amazing dating book for men, and you too can start choosing the outcomes with women YOU really want.

Oh, and if you don’t own a Kindle, no worries. Amazon will give you free Kindle reader when you click here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=sv_kstore_1?ie=UTF8&docId=1000493771

John, I love you so much, you're a great guy... but I'm NOT in love with you anymore!
By John McGraw
These words hurt worse than some big muscle bound dude breaking each bone in your body with an 16lbs sledge hammer. You do the "right" things, you support her, encourage her, bla, bla, blah and seemingly out of nowhere, the dreaded words of the tittle above slap you in the face while ripping out your heart. What makes it worse is you see in her face that it's true, she did/does love you but what we call romantic love or more appropriately called "Attraction" is gone never to return and all we are left with is broken pieces of our lives and selves while she is happy and "in love" or rather "Attraction" with some other guy that's like I used to be. How messed up, how unfair, somebody ought to do something about this, I deserve more, I am entitled to more, What the &*()?

I'll admit it, I was deep into "woe is me, everyone hates me mentality" after all I wasn't perfect but I was an well meaning, caring guy and thought I just deserved for things to magically work out somehow and be happy ever after. Kind of like rainbows, Unicorns and Hope and Change or some such nonsense but no one nowhere ever taught me about attraction until I stumbled upon an email newsletter opt in page from this cool guy in Austin that had it figured out and was living an life I couldn't really comprehend at the time.

I really wish I'd known of John Alanis years ago, when you read his works there are so many ah-ha moments and light bulbs going off it's quite something. Looking back at my past with Women, John's works act as an filter to view my past failures and triumphs in Attraction and to really understand why things work/ don't work in an easy to understand way.
John, as an businessman really believes in under promising and over delivering and has my respect and I will continue to follow him and his work.

I don't care where you are in life, 18 to 80, single, happy, miserable, in an good or bad relationship the understanding and USE of the Knowledge John teaches will be invaluable to you and to the ones you love so do yourself an favor, buy this under priced book right now, read it, enjoy the free bonus materials and sign up for his free email newsletter and I promise your life will never be the same again.

Skeptical now impressed.
By Alana L. Pratt
"I was skeptical. I'm an Intimacy Expert and I only bought it to see if the author was full of crap. Even though he seems to have a thing for blonds in bikinis (photos are sprinkled throughout the book apparently for your visual cortex's pleasure)... the more I read, the more pleasantly surprised I became that this guy gets what men do wrong that turns women off, regardless of their political affiliation. And while I choose to go far deeper to the heart and soul of the matter, he actually has some solutions I very much agree with. Well worth the read." Allana Pratt

Good and not so good........
By jack hooper
I've become fascinated with the whole area of dating science in the last few years and in that space of time I've absorbed a tonne of information via the various self styled gurus. So a lot of what John Alanis has to say, I've heard before and if you've read any of David de angelo, josh pellicer or carlos xuma's material, theres no need to buy this book. The dating science world is very incestuous, you'll have one guru recommending anothers material and vice versa, all in an attempt to weasel as much money out of vunerable men as possible. Its hard not to be cynical about the whole thing......But having said that there is some good information in this book and it comes at a very cheap price so if you can sort the wheat from the chaff its worth the $3. But like I said, only if you havent already delved into the back catalogue of those mentioned above.
I think John Alanis is right in that somewhere along the line, men need to be instructed in the science of dating as we're pretty clueless in general. Wheresas women seem to have a lot of different resources to tap into from a young age, men dont have anything of the like. We read football magazines when we're kids and health and fitness mags when we get a bit older. Whereas from a very young age girls have a lot of different magazines telling them all about relationships etc
Its not an even playing field and thats not good for men and women. JA makes some very good points about how the liberal media feed men an image of how they think they should be, men absorb this message and end up far removed from who they really are. Which works in hollywood movies but in reality goes down like a lead balloon.
And this is all good stuff. But I think JA shoots himself in the foot in that he repeats himself over and over but also he comes across like he has a chip on his shoulder and this book is more of a venting exercise than a genuine tool created to help other men. Plus theres way too much recommending of other books he's written which damages his credibility even further. Aswell as that he contradicts himself a fair bit. In one section he'll talk about not kow-towing to women(buying gifts, begging for dates, doing things like washing their car)but in another section he'll talk about how in order to keep a woman interested the man has to constantly arrange things to do and in general act like a dancing monkey.
This book has a few good points in it but mostly it comes across like a rant.

Theres a lot of these self styled dating gurus for men out there, but out of all of them I've found Josh pellicer to be the most genuine. Im not affiliated with Josh pellicer in any way but if you're trying to learn about all of this stuff I'd stick with his material and leave the rest to themselves.

From Publishers Weekly
It is the view of Evans, director of the Center for Advanced Feminist Studies at the University of Minnesota and author of Personal Politics , that "to understand the force of women's experience . . . we must adjust our vision so that we can see the world not only through the major male figures in the foreground but also through the eyes of female figures--a Puritan good wife, an African slave, an Iroquois matron, a westering woman, a female immigrant, a settlement house worker, a secretary." She advances to this end by melding the stories of representative, sometimes well-known, women into the larger sphere of American politics and public life. Richly diverse accounts exemplify the challenge and struggle that have defined and continue to alter the roles of women in our nation's development. In this respect Evans's useful exploration of the participatory nature of women's history in the United States differs from the majority of feminist literature.

From School Library Journal
YA-- A fascinating, readable volume that discusses the continual reshaping of the role of women in America from the 17th century to the 1980s. Evans' chapters roughly coincide with standard textbook organization of history (early settlers, Revolutionary era, 1845-1865, etc.), which makes the book useful to students of American history searching for another viewpoint. Unlike earlier histories, which only discuss women in the home, Evans shows the impact husbands, brothers, and sons had on the women's lives and thinking, and the effect of women's actions on men's politics. Although women's place in society remains unchanged in many basic ways, the intervening 300 years have seen great changes in the acceptance of women in public and political spheres. Evans makes these changes understandable to lay readers who may not yet have a sense of the totality of American history. No library should be without this title that offers such unique insight into women's roles and history from early settlers and native Americans to modern CEOs. --Dorcas Hand, Episcopal High School, Bellaire, TX

From Library Journal
In this synthesis, Evans reviews the evolution of work and family life with sensitivity to the fissures of class, national origin, region, occupation, marital status, sexual preference, and, especially, race. As in her earlier work, Evans spotlights the "public spaces"--reform, religious and educational organizations--that women created in order to achieve political and social objectives. Enriched by the fruitful scholarship of the last decade, this densely written book is a worthy execution of a difficult task. There are only a few comparable works: Glenda Riley's Inventing the American Woman (Harlan Davidson, 1986); Nancy Woloch's Women and the American Experience (Knopf, 1984); and Mary P. Ryan's most recent edition of Womanhood in America from Colonial Times to the Present ( Watts, 1979; 1983). Recommended.

A thorough and informative history of women in the U.S.
By A Customer
Evans' "Born for Liberty" is an excellent history of women in the U.S. The women's rights movements are often times portrayed as struggles of white middle-class women for white middle-class women. Evans includes the struggles and contributions of working-class women, black women, and immigrant women to the women's rights movements. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the struggle for equality and the role of women in shaping this country's history.

From the Back Cover
"Go to New York City and help those boys."

When David Wilkerson heard those words in his heart late one night as he glanced at a picture in Life magazine, he was dumbfounded. The boys in question were members of a violent gang and on trial for murder. He, on the other hand, was a country preacher settled comfortably in a little mountain church in Pennsylvania. What could God possibly expect him to accomplish--in New York City, of all places?

But the thought would not let him go--and his life and the lives of countless despairing teens were changed forever on account of it.

This is the riveting story of the founding of Teen Challenge, an inner-city ministry that today maintains residential and crisis counseling centers around the globe. But even more, it is a story of how the most unlikely people can hear--and follow--God's call to do the impossible.

This 45th anniversary edition includes a brand-new foreword by Charles Colson and two new epilogues celebrating Teen Challenge and reflecting on fifty years of following God's lead.

"David's story will touch your life in a way few books can."--from the foreword by Charles W. Colson

David Wilkerson (1931-2011) was the founder of Teen Challenge and World Challenge and longtime senior pastor of Times Square Church. He authored more than thirty books, including the bestselling The Cross and the Switchblade and Knowing God by Name. He ministered to people worldwide, and on the day of his death, he was still ministering.

From AudioFile
Paul Michael recounts the lives of teenage gangs in New York City in the '60s. He has just the right amount of drama and inflection in his voice as he characterizes street kids who are addicted to drugs and crime. This is the true story of David Wilkerson, an Assemblies of God preacher who left a little country church to go to the streets of New York. There he faces life-threatening situations and hears heart-wrenching stories as he seeks to bring change into the lives of these kids through faith in God. The book tells the story of the beginning of Teen Challenge, a thriving ministry today. Paul Michael does an excellent job creating a believable drama of God's work through the vision of just one man. N.L. AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine-- Copyright AudioFile, Portland, Maine

Good, predictable book
By GeoCitizen411
I read this book because a homeless women whom I've grown to really like a great deal, has a real burning love for homeless teens. She made me promise I would read it. It is a very easy read and wonderful story of how the Lord steps in to help those who walk by faith in taking on what appears impossible to others. It is also a very strong testimonial to how one person can make a tremendous difference in the world.

My most important take away from this book isn't "to trust God", that is a given, but to not give up on teens. So many people have good intentions in working with teens, the homeless and other disadvantaged group. Like the seed thrown on poor soil they start with a flurry and wither in the competition from other things in their life. I have worked with many disadvantaged and the worst thing you can do is show your face and then pull back on your commitment.

The Cross and the Switchblade really brings to light the importance of not giving up on this group. As I write this during the Christmas season where good meaning people bubble over with generosity, I'm deeply saddened because the people whom get the attention during this season are forgetten the other 11 months of the year.

I would recommend this book to any one he believes a social situation is hopeless and they can't make any difference.

One of a kind book. A Must Read.
By Dep
I read this a long time ago and decided to re-read it now. I'm 60 years old now and accepted Christ as a 7 or 8 year old at a David Wilkerson "rally" back in the 60's in Pittsburgh where Nicky Cruz gave his testimony. The Holy Spirit power moved through Wilkerson (and Cruz) like I've never seen before or since. There was no way I could leave that meeting without accepting Christ, despite my pride. I thank God for these two men. This book captures so much of that; you will feel the Holy Spirit speak through this account of the early days of his ministry. For those that do not know Christ as savior, or even Christians that are still unaware of the power of the Holy Spirit, some accounts in the book will seem ridiculous, impossible, made up. I assure you they are not. If you had sat through one of his meetings you would have felt a pull and power that, without it, these events could not have happened like they did. As you read, pray for that power to reveal the truth to you. I pray for more current day "watchman" like Wilkerson to arise and reach people for Christ.

A great TRUE story about courageus evangelism on the streets of NYC
By thedeerslayer
The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wilkerson was a inspiring true story from the 60's that kept me engaged and wanting to read more. David Wilkerson, a Christian and small town preacher from Pennsylvania, felt a strong urge from God to go and help the boys and gangs in New York City. David Wilkerson started living out his faith boldly by traveling to New York City to walk around the streets and preach and evangelize to the gangs. After being in New York and making relationships, David Wilkerson sensed God telling him to move there full-time. Eventually, Wilkerson moved his whole family there and through a series of miracles ended up buying a huge house, later know as Teen Challenge, for the street teens to live in and go through drug rehab. Wilkerson helped a lot of people become Christians and get rid of drug and sex addictions.

I (and I am a teenager) would recommend this book to any Christian or person who is young in his/her faith and wondering how God works through people. This was a really good book and a fairly easy read. I give this book 5 stars.

Fine book, but well worn.
By Alexis P
Expect inconsistencies from the current and popular Disney Fairies series, as this is an old book. It's fun to see the characters in a different light. The book I ordered was supposed to be in "very good" condition. I attached photos for you all to see what it looks like. It is not suitable to give as a gift to somebody else.

Power in the Pulpit: How to Prepare and Deliver Expository Sermons (Electives Series), by Jerry Vines, James L. Shaddix

The call to preach is just that- a call to preach. The call to preach, however, is more than just preaching. The call to preach is a call to prepare. Too many pastors have refrained from preparation while they await the Holy Spirit to do all of the work. God expects preachers to prepare sermons as much as possible and allow Him to prepare the preachers. Join Dr. Jerry Vines and Dr. Jim Shaddix as they achieve a balanced approach to teaching sermon preparation in Power in the Pulpit. This book combines the essential perspectives of a pastor of forty years with another pastor who also devotes daily time to training pastors in the context of theological education. Thus, Power in the Pulpit is a practical preaching help from a pastoral perspective in the tradition where expository preaching is a paramount and frequent event in the life of the local church. Power in the Pulpit is the combined work of Dr. Vines's two earlier publications on preaching: A Practical Guide to Sermon Preparation (Moody Press, 1985) and A Guide to Effective Sermon Delivery (Moody Press, 1986). Dr. Shaddix carefully organizes and supplements the material to offer this useful resource which closes the gap between classroom theory and what a pastor experiences in his weekly sermon preparation.

Review

This book is an encyclopedia of practical and useful material for the serious preacher, but it reads like a fireside chat. Whether you're in your first church or a seasoned preacher, you'll find both information and inspiration in its pages, the biblical "how" and "why" of effective pulpit ministry. You'll enjoy reading the book and I predict you'll refer to it often.
-Warren W. Wiersbe, Distinguished Professor of Preaching, Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary

The criticisms I hear about expository preaching are in reality criticisms about "boring preaching." The greatest preaching in the earth is still captivating, prophetic, invigorating, Christ-honoring exposition. Vines and Shaddix tell you how to do that in a way that will win the lost and revive the saints. If you preach, do not miss this book.
-Paige Patterson, Former President, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, North Carolina

Power in the Pulpit by Jerry Vines is a well written guide that will empower preachers or laymen to bring the gospel in a coherent manner. This book deals not only with the spiritual side of preaching but the physical and discipline side as well. I often review this book when I'm about to write or preach a sermon. Power in the Pulpit helps me to stay on point for exegetical preparation and teaching for the audience I am speaking to.

Vines, Jerry, and Jim Shaddix. Power in the Pulpit. Chicago: Moody Press, 1999.
Author Sketch
Dr. Jerry Vines is the pastor of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Florida. He has served two terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. He has been a pastor for more than forty years. He and his wife, Janet, have four children. He has authored many books, some of which include Spirit Works, Spirit Life, The Believers Guide to Hebrews, and The Believers Guide to First Corinthians.
Dr. Jim Shaddix serves as Professor of Preaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is the Dean of Chapel. While working on his Masters of Divinity Degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he started and pastored Arlington Park Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. Dr. Shaddix and his wife live in New Orleans with their three children.
Book Purpose
Power in the Pulpit is the combination of two books on preaching, A Practical Guide to Sermon Preparation and A Guide to Effective Sermon Delivery, written by Jerry Vines in 1985 and 1986. These two books were updated, revised, expanded and put into one volume by Jim Shaddix resulting in a volume that is suitable for the classroom setting and also helpful to the pastor who prepares and delivers sermons each week. Power in the Pulpit seeks to take advantage of years of practical experience and classroom training by closing the gap between classroom theory and what actually works in a pastor's weekly preparation. The book's purpose is to give practical help specifically to the man who is faced with the responsibility of preaching on a week by week basis (Vines and Shaddix 1999, 13).
Content Summary
Power in the Pulpit is divided into three major divisions: The Preparation for Exposition, The Process of Exposition, and The Presentation of Exposition. Each division is a vital component of exposition, which if neglected results in messages that are less than appropriate sacrifices to God in worship. Each major division is divided into subsections which guide the preacher through each important step in preparing messages that reflect biblical truth. Thus, the process culminates in sermons which declare truth with passion and conviction.
Part one, The Preparation for Exposition, includes discussions on Defining the Task, Laying the Foundation, and Developing the Preacher. These elements are not hoops which must be jumped through to develop a sermon. Rather, they help form convictions in the preacher's heart about their great calling and the importance of developing the preacher as well as the sermon. Defining the Task includes a practical theology of preaching, a philosophy of preaching, and a rational for expository preaching. These three elements lay the foundation of presuppositions on which the book is written and establish a high standard on which preachers are to live out their calling. Developing the Preacher makes it clear that the preacher plays an integral role in the preaching event. Therefore, several healthy disciplines are discussed that optimize the preacher's performance.
Part two, The Process of Exposition, takes the reader from choosing a text through building the sermon. Analyzing the Text is the beginning point. During this process, the preacher uncovers or "exposes" the true meaning of the text within its own context and culture. The next step, Unifying the Theme, leads the preacher through developing the foundational sermon elements: the central idea of the text, the proposition, the purpose, and the title. The following three steps, Designing the Structure, Maturing the Ideas, and Building the Sermon, take the preacher through the process of giving form to a message by developing an outline, putting substance to the outline through the functional elements (explanation, argumentation, application, and illustration), and allowing the sermon to take shape through the formal elements of the sermon (introduction, exposition, summation, and invitation).
Part three, The Presentation of the Exposition, includes discussions on expressing thoughts through preaching style, use of voice, last minute preparations before delivering the sermon, and sermon delivery.
Personal Evaluation of the Book's Contribution to Expository Preaching Theory and Methodology

With more than fifty years of pulpit experience and academic credibility, the authors have a firm grasp on both theoretical homiletics and practical preaching experience. Although not an exhaustive work, it covers all basic elements essential to the preaching event offered in a user friendly fashion. The book is unique in the fact that it includes thorough treatments of both sermon preparation and sermon delivery. The chapter on developing the preacher is often overlooked in preaching books and does much to reinforce the responsibility of taking care of oneself both spiritually and physically and should serve to further the notion that preaching cannot be separated from the preacher. "Effective delivery and reception of the Word are tied to the related concepts of character and integrity"(Vines and Shaddix 1999, 71). In the outset, the authors put forth a solid rationale for expository preaching as the best option for consistently feeding people the Word of God. "Both you and your people can be confident that you are not speaking your own thoughts or opinions. You are speaking, Thus saith the Lord.' That confidence gives immense force to your ministry"(Vines and Shaddix 1999, 34). The multiple forms presented for constructing expository sermons make it clear that exposition is not a form, but a process used to "expose" biblical truth and to relay that truth to everyday life. This point needs to become clearer in an age of needs-based preachers who react against exposition as boring and irrelevant. This book combines the basic elements of classic expository preaching and some contemporary theory to ensure that the communication of God's truth will be as powerful in the twenty-first century as it was in the first century.

Understanding Scientific Reasoning, by Ronald N. Giere, John Bickle, Robert Mauldin

UNDERSTANDING SCIENTIFIC REASONING develops critical reasoning skills and guides students in the improvement of their scientific and technological literacy. The authors teach students how to understand and critically evaluate the scientific information they encounter in both textbooks and the popular media. With its focus on scientific pedagogy, UNDERSTANDING SCIENTIFIC REASONING helps students learn how to examine scientific reports with a reasonable degree of sophistication. The book also explains how to reason through case studies using the same informal logic skills employed by scientists and to analyze a complex series of propositions and hypotheses using sound scientific reasoning.

Great Book; Inspiring Text
By Eric
I've used this book since the first edition years ago whenever I teach our Logic and Scientific Reasoning Course. It is the best explanation I've ever seen of the process of scientific reasoning and why it is so successful. Students really get a grasp of what's going on in all branches of science, historical as well as experimental, and they can do it on their own. Great stuff, with lots of interesting and illuminating examples.

Interesting; all educated people should read it!
By A Customer
This book is much more interesting than the publisher's blurb suggests. Every day, educated people have to deal with the results of scientific study. If you're foggy on why a "significant difference" is not always a large difference (and vice versa), or if you haven't quite realized that theories can be disproved but not proved, you need this book.

Dumbed down reasong
By Claire Jones
I purchased this book because my copy of Giere's Understanding of Scientific Reasoning done back in 1979. I have lost count in how many times I have referred to that book for illuminating something about statistics or hypothesis testing or logic.
What is wrong? The other authors have convinced Giere to cut 50 or so pages from his original. In doing so, they have "Gutted" the in-depth material necessary for a thorough understanding of scientific reasoning. What is left is a "watered-down", "Dumbed-down" book on the nature of scientific reasoning without teaching "Why?"
Material about the logic of arguments, and necessary and sufficient are missing. Missing, also, from the Testing Theoretical Hypotheses is material on "What is a good test of a theoretical hypothesis?" Sadly, the whole book as a mere abridgment of the original. I wish Dr. Ronald Giere would republish his original book or let Google Books have the original or let Dover republish it.
The new book does have some features that are an improvement. Their examples are up-to-date. In their chapter 2: A Program for Evaluating Theoretical Hypotheses, they present their "Program" of 6 steps. They use good examples to back up their evaluation program. I have used it several times, myself, in evaluating academic articles.
Should you buy this book? If you are not well schooled in research methods, then buy this book. It has some useful material. If you are well schooled in research methods but have not used them for a while, it might benefit you. If you want more in-depth knowledge then stay away. Contact Ronald Giere and implore him to release his earlier work for us.
