About the Author
Valim Levitin is a Professor and the Head of an internationally renowned research group at the National Technical University in Ukraine. His research focuses on studying nature of interatomic bonding, atom vibrations in solids, computer simulation of parameters that determine the behavior of solids, surface physics, and X-ray, TEM, and work-function studies into the fundamentals of material strength. He has published three books and numerous articles in the fields of materials science and solid-state physics.

Not sure what book everyone else read, but the one that showed up in my library was a dud. As a lover of shifter stories and having read other people's reviews, I was really excited to devour this one. I was sorely disappointed. The idea and plot were good, but the writing and narrative lacked the natural rhythm I prefer. It was almost robotic and if the writer hadn't told me who was speaking, I would have never been able to tell since everyone sounded the same and had no unique qualities to their personality or individual voice. I'm amused at how other reviewers noted that the characters were funny, especially the main character. That never came across to me. If the author hadn't constantly told me that people were laughing, snickering, smiling, etc...I would never have known. I never had an emotional reaction to this book because I was constantly being told what someone felt instead of understanding their feelings through good creative writing. I know someone is happy because I'm being told, I know someone is angry because I'm being told, I know someone is in love, because, again, I'm being told. I don't want to be told, I want to be shown and a picture painted for me.

Good character development, storytelling, and writing. The science was told in a way that didn't go overboard, and was smoothly summarized so the scientific reader wasn't offended. (That last is rarely the case for the romances I have read...) The intrigue was interesting. The relationships helped build the story, while also giving the reader lots of happy vibes. The romance was sweet.

This was my first book I read by this author and I was very much impress by this type of book.
The story I love it I like the way the character's grew into there story parts and how they learned from eachother about love, friendship and what it's like to have a family and also most of what loyalties means to them as a family . I can't wait see what in book 2 and how grow more as a family and stand tall for eachother . Thank you for letting me enjoying your story.

Looked high and low for a service manual for these 4-stroke suzukis, and finally settled on this one. Shipping took a little while, but the book arrived in as-new condition, and covered exactly what I needed it to. Good luck finding it anywhere else here stateside, these bikes were a lot more common in europe and asia.

About the Author
Robert A. Brown is Professor of Tissue Engineering and Director of the Centre for Tissue Regeneration Science at University College London, UK. The thrust of this weighty text was to put into writing a single disciplined approach, which integrated analysis of the current difficulties, perceptions and strategies at a basic level which is suitable for all disciplines. To try and accomplish this the author has, in writing Extreme Tissue Engineering, is to try and address these needs by taking an bold, sideways look, sprinkled here there with wit and wonder. The purpose of which is to keep even the specialist interested - but tested. In concert with this is the need at the same time to keep informing the non-specialist and have them engaged.

The volume builds a web of examples and eccentric, astounding parallels with the purpose of leading the reader progressively deeper under the `skin' of tissue engineering strategies. Secondly, this book uses its well-explained case logic to create some thrilling new ways of looking at where we are going and how we might get there. In essence an excellent text that delivers.

The following are just some themes/ideas that a reader to come away with:

1. The idea of analysing and then critically isolating what we want to produce (e.g. cell-rich versus matrix rich tissues; modest versus multifaceted; prosthetic devices versus a living grafts; a tissue versus a process; a beneficial implant versus a 3D model test tissue; a generic, average tissue template versus a tailored `best-fit')

2. The concept that directly constructing a tissue (with cells in place) is both conceivable and primarily different from indirectly growing one, via cell action (fabrication versus farming)
